Her Voice.

She sits in the corner crying, tears running down her face.
He's sleeping but for how long? Nobody knows.
The bruises leave a good mark on her as she looks in the mirror, it's impossible to cover them up so she quits trying.
About to leave for work he's standing in the corner, he screams and yells at her for things she didn't do.
The lashes and hits leave an impact, something that will make her sick the rest of the day.
He tells her to just go to work all bloody and bruised up!

She gets to work and everyone stares, nobody stops to ask why her face has blood on it.
She sits down and sees a man walking towards her, he sits down and talks. Asking what happened she simply says
"My boyfriend."
He asks why and she says
"I don't know!"
It's a touchy subject for her but she spills her heart out, the man who's talking to her is named Jim.
That day she made a new friend.

Days go by more lashes, hits, and burns. But she still can't get why he's doing this.
She talks to Jim everyday, they get coffee together, and eat lunch together.
One day she sees "Him" looking at her through the window with another woman.
He sees her and walks in the restaurant, grabs her by the arm and takes her outside.
This time the lashes are harder, the burns are worst, the punches are stronger.
She bleeds and is unconscious, Jim picks her up and brings her to the nearest hospital.

The doctors do all they can to fix her up, days go but and she seems to be doing just fine.
She talks, walks, and laughs at the dumb jokes Jim tells.
Jim begins to think she'll be alright, the doctors say she can go home.
But something is wrong, she limps, there's nothing wrong with her leg.
That night she had a seizure while taking a shower, Jim hears the thud was runs in.
He brings her to a hospital, doctors do all they can but she dies on the scene.

Now Jim can be found staring at an yearn at her parents' house, with a crushed feeling.
Dreams of being with her were now erased, the thoughts of her still remained.
Nothing can replace her Jim thinks, and now he sits alone hearing her voice clear as day.
Her laughs, cries, and whisper can he heard. But she's not there.
She can never return, her parents meet Jim outside and think with him.
Her voice is in their heads too, but they know she's not there.

This is gonna make me sound really sadistic, but that was a really refreshing ending. I couldn't sleep last night and I didn't want to wake anyone up with computer or music, so I stayed up all night reading. Each book I read was dissatisfactory for me because each one had a happy romantic ending for each person, and in the end, it just reminded me of how I hadn't hit that and how so many people don't. This seemed a lot more real, but I still feel like there should have been more detail in a few spots and some of it seemed unrealistic.

^ Oh trust me I agree with everything that you just said, it's not my best work at all. I just wanted to put something new up, this was what came to mind.
